Accessibility
What we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment
People who need a pharmacy are disproportionately likely to have a disability. Building this site to be usable was a baseline requirement, not an enhancement.
What we have done
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA contrast against its background.
- All animation respects
prefers-reduced-motion. With it enabled, the site is entirely static. - Content is never hidden behind a script — with JavaScript disabled, everything still renders.
- Images carry meaningful alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
- Forms use real labels, and errors are announced rather than only coloured red.
- Text reflows to 320px and supports 200% zoom without loss of content.
- The home page carousel carries a visible pause control, stops while keyboard focus is inside it, stops when the tab is hidden, and never starts under reduced-motion settings.
Known limitations
- Some product photography carries text on packaging that is not repeated in the alternative text.
Tell us
If something here stopped you doing what you came to do, email hello@a1pharmacy.example or call +000 0000 0000. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will help you by phone or in person.
Our premises have step-free access from the street, a hearing loop at the counter, and a private consultation room.
